Welcome to Sharon's Factory Shop. We are a woman-owned, small business located at Malcomess Park Shopping Centre in East London, South Africa. We sell affordable name-branded factory overruns (clothing, accessories and shoes) from well-known clothing brands for women, men and children. We have recently branched out into the novelty gifts world! Unfortunately, due to contractual reasons, we cannot upload our branded items onto our website or Facebook page. However, you may join our Whatsapp group, where we post our branded items along with its price and the sizes available. Please note that the items on our website are not factory overruns. Only our branded items posted on our WhatsApp group are.

How it all started:

My parents have been in the clothing business for more than 20 years. While growing up, I spent a lot of time at our stores. However, I never pictured it as my path in life. While obtaining my BCOM Law degree, I began helping my parents as a cashier at one of their stores. I soon discovered that this was my passion in life. I truly enjoyed every aspect of our day-to-day operations. This inspired me to give my own clothing business a go!

So long story short, here we are 3 years later! Thanks to my previous experience and the extensive knowledge gained from my parents, I have been able to replicate the incredible business model they have worked so hard to build, but with my own twist. When I bought my store over from my parents, I had a tough decision to make.

I had to pick a name, and I ultimately chose to keep it as Sharon's Factory Shop. Sharon is my mom! An incredible woman who inspires me every day and gave me her name as my second name! So not only am I a "mini" Sharon, I am legally Sharon as well. So please feel free to call me by Candice or Sharon.

All jokes aside, I feel that keeping my store named Sharon's Factory Shop is my way of honouring what my parents have built and the sacrifices they have made. Like my parents, I will continue to offer affordable branded factory overruns of clothing, shoes, and accessories for men, women, and children.

However, I also offer an extensive range of proudly South African goodies made by small business owners in SA! My favourite part of it all is hearing what countries my goodies are going to. I love imagining South Africans bumping into each other in different parts of the world and how conversations have been sparked over seeing one wearing proudly South African goodies.

Another plus for me is interacting with my customers and seeing their happy faces when they walk into my store. However, none of this would have been possible without my incredible parents support as well as my loyal customers, who have helped me build a solid reputation in our small town through positive word-of-mouth. I promise that I will continue to provide only the best quality items and excellent customer service. 

How to place an order:

Due to high demand, we have turned our website into a catalogue instead of self-service.

You are able to order here by checking your cart out and we will send you a WhatsApp message with a qoute. If you are having difficulties navigating our website, please feel free to pop me a message on our Facebook page or Whatsapp. I will then check the availability of an item for you and issue you an invoice for your order. Once you have made immediate payment, your order will be booked and sent off with Pudo (Courier Guy) to your preferred Pudo locker or to your door. Free shipping for orders over R2000. Thank you 🇿🇦
